(Customer Project #618 Torque Converters Turbines for GM, FORD, Chrysler and Performance Applications) In this project, E.G.I. focuses on engineering and mass-production of torque Converter turbines with diameters ranging from 8.5" inches to 14.5" These turbines are mainly for torqueing from 6-8 and higher cylinders and diesel engines. We offer both the furnace-brazed and the steel assembled versions of turbine. We aim to achieve better performance and longer life by carefully designed and specified steel with the most desirable tensile and hardness properties. Our furnace-brazing processes use unique alloy for maximum bonding to enhance torque converters performance. As a customer-specific project, E.G.I. produces and supplies these brand-new customized turbines with better performance and longer life at a well below market rate of cost (factory-direct cost pricing).
